CARTER LEE WILLMANN

Carter Willmann has been a performer and music educator in the Orange County area for over ten years. From 2006 to 2010, he received his Bachelor of Music degree, studying under Julie DeRoche and Larry Combs at DePaul University in Chicago, IL. After graduating, he moved to Orange County, CA, to receive his Master of Music degree at California State University Fullerton, studying under the world-renowned artist Hakan Rosengren. Over the past ten years, Carter has rooted himself in the Orange County area, developing a prominent career in education and performance in clarinet, flute, and saxophone.

 

Carter has helped young musicians all over Orange County achieve their goals in music. He's taught at several music schools such as Orchepia School of Music, California Music Studios, GreenTree Music Academy, Virtuoso Music, Crown Royal Academy, and Heritage Home Conservatory. Carter also developed a successful personal studio, WillmannStudio. His students have thrived in their music programs at school, pushing past their regular school curriculum to audition and win seats in honor bands and orchestras. They also participate in Certificate of Merit, a level-based music exam that ensures a well-rounded education in music. Their performance skills are also enhanced with regular recitals year-round. In addition, Carter has developed effective group classes, including chamber music, tuning, sight-reading, and major repertoire for each instrument.

Carter has had an equally successful career as a performing artist holding a position in the Civic Orchestra of Chicago from 2008 to 2010. He also regularly performs with chamber groups, orchestras, pit orchestras, and wind bands around the Orange County and Los Angeles area. As an international artist, Carter has performed all over the United States and Europe, specifically France, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
