Here is a more contemporary piece of the standard saxophone repertoire! The sonata by Muczynski is a piece every serious saxophonist will encounter down the road. It has 2 movements. The first being smooth and soulful, the second being fast and hectic! Please listen to both! The beginning of the 2nd movement is marked clearly in the video! The saxophonist is very impressive! Also enjoy the complete mastery and control of the collaborative pianist's (Not "accompanist", pianists do not like that term nowadays) technique in the 2nd movement! Fast but rock solid in tempo! Enjoy!
